The secret to this Cosmic chai?
We mix black tea leaves, ginger, cardamom, cloves, star anise, turmeric and black peppercorns with one very special ingredient: Himalayan honey.
It’s sweet, sticky and scarily addictive. By infusing with honey, you get these buttery toffee notes in the chai, all mellow and toasty, with a lovely golden colour. The end result? A spicy, creamy chai with just the right amount of sweetness. In fact you shouldn’t need to add additional honey: the natural caramel gives a sugary zing, and you can really taste the malty mid-tones.
Ingredients: Honey, Black Tea, Ginger, Cardamom, Cloves, Star Anise & Black Peppercorns.
Serving suggestion: Add 2 heaped tablespoons to 1 cup of milk. Simmer on a low heat for 5 minutes (don’t let it boil). Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Simmer with milk on the stovetop for about ten minutes, then garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Serving Suggestion: Add 1-2 teaspoons to 250ml of hot milk and steep for 2 minutes. Strain and serve, or chill over ice.
